Muesli was actually developed around 1900 by the Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner for patients in his hospital. But what makes a Swiss Style different from other muesli?
Story has it years ago the Swiss army added milk powder to their muesli so when they were up in the Swiss Mountains they would melt snow and add it straight to their muesli. This does mean Swiss Style mueslis are quite different and much more powdery when compared with other mueslis. Serve with milk (not water) for an extra creamy taste.
